Mrs Marbles

Mrs Marbles is just a cutesy play on my new surname I thought would go along well with an online beauty personality. It suits me because I'm a little mad, very silly, and extremely proud to be a newlywed. (Love you, Mr Marbles!) Yeah, I know, I'm gagging too.

It's important to know that I am an Independent AVON Representative, and while I will talk about AVON products on a regular basis, my opinions of these products are genuine and honest. Really, I'm a horrible liar. My face turns red and I forget how to speak in sentences... and words.

I get that beauty bloggers are a dime a dozen these days. But I feel that a good beauty blogger is a bit like a good friend; they've got a lot a personality and individuality, and a lot in common with you.

So what makes me an individual in the beauty blogging world?

I'm the world's first goth hippy, not that you could tell by looking at me today (maybe if you saw my house). This was when I was younger, and I strove to find the perfect mix of goth and hippy fashion. I'm still looking. I definitely still maintain some tastes in those areas, though.

I love me some theatrical makeup; I've been performing since I was young and frequently get involved in local amateur musical theatre performances in my area. I tend to play the character roles (like Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp), and used to love sitting at the mirror practising making myself look old or bloody or warty.

I'm also really big into knowing what's in my products and DIY cosmetics. I hate nasty man-made chemicals, and I love things that come from the earth. I love me some science, but as far as I'm concerned, if a guy in a lab coat had to make it in a test tube we still don't understand the consequences of putting it on our in our bodies. Full stop. No matter how long it was in trials. That and I love making a mess of my kitchen with the oils and the herbs and shiz.

Anyway, it's a well known fact that Internet people have no attention span, so I'll shut up now. Brevity is one of my life goals, anyway (because I suck at it). Congrats if you got this far!
